FabricSmall Sewing

good folks!

This project combined three of my favorite things: makeup, quilting, and Good Folks by Anna Maria Horner. I’ve had a brush roll on my list for a long time now and I was inspired by a new book I bought (Sew What! Bags by Lexie Barnes) to make one for my trip last weekend.

I used two and a half fat quarters and some leftover bias tape from the zigzag quilt (I had enough to bind it and make the tie closures). This project was super easy and a perfect way to use up fat quarters or large scraps. I didn’t follow the pattern in the book because it called for more fabric than a fat quarter. I also lined my pockets with solids so I could save some of the cute fabric for other projects.
